Q: What do I need to do to sell firewood on this website?

To sell firewood, you must register with this website. Follow the register tab on the Navigation sidebar to get started. Once you are registered and logged in, you are able to post what you have for sale. You will also be able to sell to buyers who post on the buyer's board.

Q: How do I go about selling firewood on this site?

There are two ways to sell. First, you can post on the seller's board what you want to sell, how much, and for what price, and wait for a buyer to click on the post and take you up on the offer. Alternatively, you can click on a buyer's post to take them up on the offer.

Q: Will this site handle payments for firewood that I sell?

No, this site only connects the buyer and seller at a negotiated price and quantity, and provides contact information for each party. It is up to the buyer and seller to make payment and delivery arrangements.

Q: What does this serivce cost me?

There is a 3% commission assessed to the seller for each sale brokered through this website. If you register as a seller, and make sales through this site, you will be billed the commission only after you have made a sale.

Q: What happens when someone takes the offer I have posted?

The buyer must provide their contact information, agree to the terms of the sale, and then an email is sent to both the buyer and seller. The email contains the invoicing details of sale, as well as the contact information for both parties. It is then up to the buyer and seller to contact each other to finalize delivery and payment arrangements.

Q: If a sale falls through, will I still be charged a commission?

No, it is understood that from time to time, sales will fall through. If this happens, email billing@northidahofirewood.com with the invoice#, and the reason why the sale didn't happen. The commission for the sale will be removed from your bill.

Q: How do I see my bill, and what sales I have made?

After you login, click on the Account Info link at the top of the page under the Welcome (Username) message.

Q: How can I remove a post that I have made?

After you make a post, a confirmational email is sent to you. In the email is a link to remove the post. If you don't have the confirmational email, you can email post@northidahofirewood.com with your name and the index# of the post, and we will remove it for you.

Q: What if I don't pay my bill for the commission?

Your ability to sell firewood on this site may be suspended or revoked.

Q: What are the different markets?

There are seperate markets for each type of wood. For example the RFR market is for buying or selling Red Fir Rounds. In each market, there is a buyer's and seller's board. Click on a market on the sidebar to see posts for that type of wood.

Q: What does the ticker at the bottom of the screen represent ?

The ticker shows each type of wood's symbol, and what price it has been selling for. The ticker shows the average price of all sales from that type of wood sold in the last three days.
